Section B (2a-2e) 一、教学目标： 语言知识目标： 能掌握以下单词： compete, opinion, skill, typical, football, cut out, continue, compare, compare…with, crazy, push, development, cause, usual 能掌握以下句型： ① I believe these activities are important for my children’s future ②Why don’t they just let their kids be kids? ③People shouldn’t push their kids so hard. ④Although it’s normal to want successful children, it’s even more important to have happy children. 2、能力目标： ① T he students will be able to express their opinions and advice through reading other opinions and advice. ② The students will be able to develop their reading skills by reading the passage wit h prediction, skimming and guessing the meaning according to the context. ③学会在语境中感悟和体会词汇含义，找出意思相近或相同的语言表达。 ④学会根据上下文猜测生词的含义。 3、情感目标： 了解中国及一些其他国家中学生们普通存在的生活及学习上问题，了解别人 的生活现状及他们苦恼，知道学习知识是很重要的事情，但它并不是生活的全部。二、学情分析： 教学内容分析： 本节教学内容源自人教版八年级下册第四单元，通过 Section A 部分和Section B1a-1e 部分的听说训练，学生初步了解了如何倾诉自己的问题以及给出合适意见，本部分时大阅读部分，内容较长，生词也较多，主要是让学生在理解文章的基础上做部分口头上的输出，为写作部分做铺垫。 本节课是一节说明文，以 “learn to relax”为话题，通过中美的共性问题为切入点，阐述了孩子们的压力之大，又以两个不同美国母亲对是否参加课外补习班的不同意见以及科学家的观点来批判太多的压力会抑制孩子发展，最后指出快乐孩子要比成功孩子重要。 学情分析： 本节课授课对象是八年级学生，通过几年的英语学习有一定的基础，他们学习兴趣浓，愿意和老师共同学习。 学生已有 知识水平： 通过前面几 课时的学习， 学生已基本会用should ,could ,shouldn’t , couldn’t 来谈论话题内容，并且在第三单元已初识略读阅读技巧来获取信息，但由于缺乏课外阅读习惯，复杂文章的阅读能力较弱，由于词汇量的限制，学生需加强在语境中猜词的能力。 学生的学习困难：词汇量大、语篇长。三、教学重难点及措施： Important points: knowledge objectives and reading skills Difficult points: It’s difficult for the students to guess the meanings of the words in the passage according to the context. 突破措施：引导学生分层次阅读，分任务阅读，通过引导猜词，预测等手段来 理解上下文，帮助获取信息，理解文章。四、教学过程： Step 1 Warming up Show a picture of playing basketball What are they doing?
