Methods Sixty patients treated in our hospital from August 2013 to May 2014 were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria， which were divided into two groups based on their visit time： the control group with patients in 2013 and the study group with patients in 2014. Patients in the control group were treated by conventional therapy， while patients in the study group were treated by retroperitoneoscopic ligation of renal pedicle lymphatic vessels. After different therapy between two groups， their objective indicato（including of hospital stay， operative time， and intraoperative blood loss） and postoperative advee reactio were were observed and compared. Results The objective indicato of the two groups were compared and in the study group， the hospital stay was （±）d， the operative time was （±） min， and the intraoperative blood loss was （±） mL， which were all shorter or less than those of the control group with statistical significance（P）. The overall rate of advee reaction in the study group was %， while that in the control group was %，the difference was statistically significant （P）. Conclusion The clinical effect of retroperitoneoscopic ligation of renal pedicle lymphatic vessels in treatment of chyluria is acceptable， which can effectively shorten the operative time and
