Methods 54 cases of patients with early traumatic hemothorax admitted in our hospital from 2010 to 2012 were randomly selected and divided into the control group and the observation group. The control group was given ordinary chest tube drainage treatment， and the observation group was given central venous catheter drainage treatment. The pain degree and effect after treatment of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the patients in the observation group was %， and that of the patients in the control group was %; the postoperative pain index of the patients in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group， the differences were statistically significant(P＜). Conclusion For patients with early traumatic hemothorax， central venous catheter drainage treatment has the advantages of less pain， better treatment effect and smaller trauma， which is of great clinical significance。 [Key words] Central venous catheter; Early traumatic hemothorax; Catheter drainage; Effect 胸外伤疾病中创伤性血胸是最严重且常见的一种并发症，创伤性血胸患者临床上常采用胸腔穿刺术、胸腔闭式引流术进行临床治疗
