Lead-in Ask students to say anything they know about “relationship”. 2. Ask students to look at the pictures of Task1 on Page1 and match these pictures to their according relationships. 3. Ask students to have a discussion: list other relationships they can think of; then show them on the blackboard. 4. Ask students to complete Task2 on Page 1. (1) Read the five sentences and name their relationships. (2) Ask students to name five people they know and explain their relationships. 5. Ask students to complete Task1 on Page2. (1) Ask students to look at these pictures and guess their relationships; then have a discussion with their partners. (2) Ask students to do a report. (3) Ask students to fill in the blanks with appropriate words. (4) Explain some points if necessary, such as: colleague, acquaintance, relationship, pick up. 6. Ask students to complete Task2 on Page3. (1) Ask students to put these 3 conversations into correct order by themselves. (2) Ask students to discuss with their partners.
