Through the study of this course, students are required to master the basic theories, policies and methods of analyzing international economic problems systematically. Students can have a general understanding of some major phenomena, historical evolution and development trends in the international economy. The basic theories that need to be mastered mainly include the classical international trade theory, the new classical trade theory, the modern international trade theory, the theory of international flow of production factors, the theory of exchange rate determination, and the theory of balance of payments adjustment. The purpose of setting up this course is to master the theory of the most effective distribution of scarce economic resources in the global scope, as well as the policies that countries should adopt in the resulting economic relations, and master the methods and basic ideas of analyzing the international economic reality through the study of international economic theories and policies.
