T show some key words,Ss guess what did the teacher do last weekend.(only say the phrases)
Step 2. Presentation
Pre-writing
1. SectionB 3a.
Look at the pictures and talk about Simon’s last weekend.
Complete Simon’s passage in 3a according to the pictures.
Check the answers and read the passage together.
2.summarize the writing structure
3.Help teacher complete the passage about weekend according to the phrases.
Ask Ss to do a survey about their weekend and draw a mind-map according to the survey.
II. While-writing
1.Work on 3b.Write about their own weekends based on the mind-map.
III. Post-writing
Project the article on the computer,let the Ss check it together. Then check their partner’s article according to the checklist of writing.
Giving some key words,ask students to guess teacher’s weekend activities using the simple past tense.
Ask students to look and say about Simon’s weekend using the simple past tense.
Ask students to finish 3a according to the pictures.
Ask students to write down the outline of teacher’s weekend.Then finish the article according to the outline.
Ask students to do a survey in a group about their weekend.
Ask students to draw a mind-map according to the survey.
