Unit 2 How often do you exercise?教学设计 Section B (1a-1e) Teaching aims 1.To master the new words: junk, coffee, health 2.To master the key phrases: drink milk, want sb. to do sth., be good for, junk food 3.To master the key sentences: How often do you drink milk? She says it’s good for my health. Does Tina have good habits? How many hours do you sleep every night Teaching importance and difficulties To master the target language: How often do you ...? Teaching aids: Tape recorder , computer or multimedia Teaching procedures Step1 Lead-in Show some pictures on the screen. Point to the pictures and ask: What are they? Do you like them? How often do you eat it/them? Do you think they are healthy or unhealthy? Talk about the pictures with partners. Step 2 Presentation Present the studying aims on the blackboard or on the screen. Let the students know what they will learn in this lesson. Step 3 Self-study(Ⅰ) Look at the pictures in 1a on Page 12 and read the words aloud individually and then match the words with pictures. Read the conversation in 1b aloud and then practice the conversation with your partners. Step 4 Listening 1.Look through the tasks in 1c and 1d carefully before listening. 2.Play the tape the first time, let the students only listen. 3.Play the tape the second time and let the students finish the tasks in 1c and 1d. 4.Listen to the tape once more and ask the students to repeat after the tape and check the answers by themselves. 5.Let the students look at the tape scripts in 1c and 1d and correct the answers by themselves. Step 5 Group work Read the tape scripts in 1c and 1d aloud and then role-play the interview. Step 6 Showing Let the students read the conversation about between Tina and Bill. Ask students to role-play the conversation about between Tina and Bill: Student A is the reporter. Student B is Tina or Bill. Ask and answer questions. Then change roles. Step 7 Summary Let students summarize the key points in this lesson. Key words:
