Main Purpose and Scope of Application CJ20 series AC contactor (hereinafter referred to as contactor) is primarily used in AC 50Hz (or 60Hz) power system with rated voltage up to 660V (or 1140V) and current up to 630A for making and breaking circuit, and can form a motor starter together with an appropriate thermal relay or an electronic protective device to protect the circuit where overload may occur. 2 Product Model and Its Meanings 2.1 Composition of the model and its representative meanings Auxiliary specification code 1) J: Power(energy-) -saving type; default; non-power (energy-) -saving type Basic specification code indicated by Ie value of 380V, AC-3 Design No. AC contactor 1) The type and number of auxiliary contacts indicated by numerical codes usually consist of two digits, the first digit means the number of normally-open auxiliary contacts and the second digit means the number of normally-closed auxiliary contacts.
