1. 了解中秋节这一节日,并谈论这一节日并引入本课话题。
2. 运用skimming略读策略,阅读文章《Full Moon, Full Feelings》,了解人们是如何庆祝中秋节,并掌握文体结构。

Step 1 Warming up
Have a guessing game about Chinese traditional festivals by reading poems and lead to the Mid-Autumn Festival we’re going to learn.
T asks Ss how much they know about the Mid-Autumn Festival and answer the questions.
1. What’s the date of Mid-Autumn Festival?
2. What do people eat on the Mid-Autumn Festival?
3. Which folk story is about Mid-Autumn Day?
4. How do you celebrate Mid-Autumn Day?
Step 2 Presentation Reading
Pre-reading
T asks Ss to take a quick look at the title and picture and predict:
1. What festival is the article about?
2.What story is it?
While-reading
Ss listen to the passage carefully and match the main idea of each paragraph. T reminds Ss to get the main idea from the first sentences in each paragraph.
Ask Ss to read the Para.1 and answer the questions:
