3. To improve the students’ speaking and listening ability.

1. To teach some new words.
(baseball,basketball,soccer,tennis,volleyball,ping–pong,bat,racket,
have,do/does)
2. To teach sentence patterns

T :We have 3 PE lessons every week,do you know what is the meaning of PE ?
Ss :体育
T :In the class, we can play some balls games,can you list any of them ?
Ss :basketball,baseball,football…
T :Ok,let us learn them together.
Step 3. Presentation
1.T teaches the new words with the aid of pictures.
2.Ss read new words after T.
3.T shows pictures to check if the Ss can remember the new words.

Step 4 Practice
1.T teaches Ss to read the dialogue and translate it into Chinese.
2.Ss read the dialogue together.
3.T and Ss practise the sentence patterns “Do you have a … ?
and Does he/she have a…”.
4.T ask the Ss to make a dialogue and act it out.
