Part One The analysis of the teaching material
Status And Function
This lesson is about listening and students can improve their speaking ability, learn more about the animals in danger. After learning, they know how to protect the animals.
Teaching Aims
First, the knowledge objective :
Make Ss to master the useful words and expressions:
Words: snake, neck, thin, danger, interested, allow, wild, protect, wild, grow,
Expressions: in danger, at last, be interested in, think of, take away, in peace.
Second, the ability objective:
(1). To help students to improve their ability of listening and speaking.
(2). Ask students to understand the conversation about animals in danger.
Third, the emotional objective:
Protect the animals in danger and environment.
Teaching important points: New words and expressions.
Teaching difficult points: To learn the grammar knowledge of infinitive.
Part Two Analysis of students
The Ss like animals, because they are interesting. They will like this lesson. They like different ways to study English, such as games or activities and so on.
Part Three Teaching methods
In this lesson, My teaching methods include
Working in groups, Situational teaching method and task-based teaching method .
Part Four Learning methods
1. Teach Ss how to be successful to study .
2. Get the Ss to form good learning habits.
Part Five Teaching Procedures
Step 1 warm up
Read the words before class(课前自主预习)
Greeting. Ask Ss to see a video, lead in the topic animals.
Design idea: Make Ss be interested in the lesson.
Step 2 1. Memory games
2. Show some pictures and play a guessing game.
Design idea: Ss remember words easily.
Step 3 Watch a video about something bad happened to the animals.
Step 4 Listening
Listen and answer the questions.
Design idea: Help Ss know about this unit subject.
