Personal Statement of Intent I am Chenken , born in 1990 in Zhejiang China , an area that has long been well known for its diligent people and high level of economy , and I am writing this letter in hope of pursuing advanced studies of master degree programme in your esteemed university . Such studies , I believe , are indispensable for my future career development and are beneficial for my whole life. Now , I am a undergraduate student in Tianjin University of Finance and Economics(TJUFE) and it is my last academic year for the four-year bachelor degree programme . When I made the choice to select TJUFE in 2009 after passing the National College Entrance Examination(NCEE) , I knew that a meaningful life should be aiming high and working hard to reach targets . After entering TJUFE , I chose Actuary , a branch of Statistics , as my major because I liked this subject and had been attracted to this territory since I came into contact with its history , sophisticated technology and development in the world . I have studied very hard and obtained rich experience and various skills in the learning of my major and different kinds of activities during my past 3 years studying in university . I have minored the second bachelor of Finance in my spare time for the interest and purposes to intensify my ability and to expand my outlook . In Tianjin University of Finance and Economics I have access to the advanced softwares involving statistics such as R , Eviews , SPSS and SAS . In addition , I learnt theories and gained experience in the practice in out department’s laboratory and fulfilled several reports about statistics . The skills and knowledge I acquired in the studying of finance also help me comprehend the Statistics and Acruary better and establish critical concepts .
