AN813 Si2151/41 LAYOUT AND D ESIGN G UIDELINES 1. Introduction This document provides general application guidelines for using the Si2151/41 TV tuner achieving optimal device performance. The Si2151/41 is the sixth-generation Silicon Labs hybrid TV tuner supporting all worldwide terrestrial and cable TV standards. Offered in a 24-pin, 3x3 mm2 QFN package and carrying the lowest-cost BOM for a hybrid TV tuner in the market, the Si2151/41 is a cost-effective solution suitable for multi-tuner systems. 2. Si2151/41 Application Schematic The application schematic for the Si2151/41 in a typical hybrid TV configuration is shown in Figure 1. The Si2151 and the Si2141 are both pin-compatible devices. However, the Si2151 is intended for hybrid analog/digital receive applications whereas the Si2141 is intended for digital only.
