关于水循环英语作文 The Water Cycle 篇一: Water is constantly involved in our lives. Whether it’s taking a quick sip, going swimming, or watching the rain outside, it’s something that we encounter all the time. The water cycle is how we’re able to see and use water in our everyday lives! It’s the continuous movement of water above, below, and on the surface of the earth. During this cycle, water switches between three phases: solid, liquid, and gas. The water cycle has four main processes: condensation, precipitation, collection, and evaporation / transpiration. Condensation is when water turns from water vapor to its liquid form due to a cold environment. It’s what happens to your cold water bottle when it looks like it’s sweating, it’s how clouds are made, and lastly, it’s how rain and other forms of precipitation are made! After water condenses, it falls to the ground in one of many forms of precipitation. It can take the form of rain, snow, sleet, or hail. Snow is actually formed through a process called deposition, where water vapor turns directly into ice, bypassing the liquid phase. Following precipitation, the process of collection takes place. A lot of water collects into bodies of water, like oceans, or streams, but a majority of it infiltrates, or seeps into, the ground and collects as groundwater. This is the water we drink. Water can collect into bodies of water through something called runoff. This is where water flows over land in a sort of unofficial stream until it goes into a larger body of water. During this stage of the water cycle, plants also uptake water through their roots. Percolation also takes place, which is when water flows in soil or other porous material. It’s a form of infiltration. Lastly, evaporation and transpiration take place. Evaporation is when water from bodies of water or the ground heats up and changes from a liquid to water vapor. It’s what happens when you boil water to make tea or pasta! Transpiration is basically the evaporation o
