PMSMFuzzyPIControlSystemDesign

Introduction

PMSM(PermanentMagnetSynchronousMotor)iswidelyusedinvariousfields,suchasmachinetools,robotics,andautomationsystems,duetoitshighefficiency,highpowerdensity,andlowtorqueripple.ThecontrolsystemofPMSMplaysacriticalroleinensuringitsstableoperationandprecisecontrol.PI(ProportionalIntegral)controlisoneofthemostwidelyusedcontrolmethodsinPMSM.However,theclassicalPIcontrolmethodhassomelimitationsindealingwiththenonlinearanduncertaincharacteristicsofPMSM.Inrecentyears,thefuzzycontrolmethodhasbeenwidelyusedinthePMSMcontrolsystem,especiallyinthePIcontroller.Inthisarticle,afuzzyPIcontrolsystemforPMSMwillbedesignedandanalyzed.

PMSMControlSystemOverview

ThePMSMcontrolsystemmainlyconsistsofapowersupply,athree-phaseinverter,aPMSM,andacontrolsystem.Thecontrolsystemincludestwomainparts:thecurrentcontrolloopandthespeedcontrolloop.ThecurrentcontrolloopisresponsibleforregulatingthecurrentofeachphaseofthePMSMtoensurethatthePMSMoperatesinastablestate,whilethespeedcontrolloopadjuststhetorqueofthePMSMbyadjustingthecurrentvectororientation.

PIControlMethod

ThePIcontrolmethodisaclassicalcontrolmethodwidelyusedinmotorcontrolsystemsduetoitssimplicityandeasyimplementation.PIcontrolcancompensateforthesteady-stateerrorcausedbythesystem,andinthecaseofnoloaddisturbance,thesystemcanquicklyreachasteady-state.However,theclassicalPIcontrolmethodhassomelimitationsinthePMSMcontrolsystem.

FuzzyControlMethod
