Corporatesocialresponsibilityisakindofmoralelementbeyondeconomyandlaw,whichatleastincludestwoaspectsofcontent:ontheonehand,intheprocessofmanagementtheenterpriseshouldtakenecessaryresponsibilityforstakeholders;ontheotherhand,theenterpriseshouldalsoconsiderthepublicinterestsandundertakemoresignificantresponsibilitiesforthecountryandeventheworld.

Firstandforemost,nowadaysanincreasinglywell—informedbreedofpublicisnowdemandingfactsaboutthebusinesscommunity`ssocialandenvironmentalperformance．CSRis，atleastinpart,aresponseofthebusinesscommunitytocomplaintsthatithasfailedtocreatetrustingrelationshipswiththepublic

Whatismore,fromthepointofcompaniesthemselves,theimportanceofCSRembodiedinthatitisanimportantwaytoincreasethecompetitivenessofcompanies.Companiesarenowexpectedtoformpartnershipswiththeirstakeholders．Theymustfindwaystoempowerstakeholderswithinformationwhichneedstobepresentedinawaythatisaccessible,honestandengaging.Theyalsoshouldlistentopublic`sopinionandinvolvetheminkeybusinessdecisions．
