Ispendmytimeatthenursinghometalkingtotheresidents,playinggameswiththem,helpingthemwithtasks,andsimplybeingthereforthem.ItsamazingtoseethejoyandgratitudeintheireyeswhenIspendtimewiththem.Theyhavesomuchwisdomandlifeexperiencetoshare,andIlovelisteningtotheirstoriesandlearningfromthem.

Ihavealsoformedcloserelationshipswithmanyoftheresidents.Theyhavebecomelikefamilytome,andIcaredeeplyforeachandeveryoneofthem.IknowthatIammakingadifferenceintheirlives,andthatbringsmesomuchfulfillment.

Volunteeringatthenursinghomehastaughtmesomuchaboutcompassion,patience,andtheimportanceofhumanconnection.Iamgratefulfortheopportunitytomakeapositiveimpactonthelivesoftheelderlyresidents,andIlookforwardtocontinuingtovolunteerandservetheminanywaythatIcan.
