Abstract
Asanimportanttheoryofcognitivelinguisticsandtransltranslation,correlationtheoryemphasizescognitivereasoningandcontextualcorrelationintranslation,providingnewtheoreticalsupportandtranslationstrategiesforsubtitletranslation.Fromtheperspectiveofcorrelationtheory,thispaperdiscussestheChinesetranslationprocessandeffectofthesubtitlesofCinderellasStory.Firstly,thecoreviewpointsofcorrelationtheoryandtherelatedresearchofsubtitletranslationarereviewed,andthetheoreticalbasisandframeworkoftheresearchareestablished.Subsequently,throughadetailedanalysisoftheChinesetranslationofthesubtitlesofCinderellasStory,thecharacteristicsofthesubtitletranslationinlanguagetransformationandculturaltransmissionarerevealed.Itisfoundthatsubtitletranslationshouldnotonlyconsidertheaccuracyandfluencyoflanguage,butalsopayattentiontothetransmissionofculturalelementsandtheacceptanceoftheaudience,whichrequiresin-depthcontextualanalysisandcognitivereasoningundertheguidanceofcorrelationtheory.
