Abstract

GeneralSeniorHighSchoolCurriculumStandards-English(2020edition)put

forwardthatconstructingthecorecompetencyofEnglishdisciplinemeansthat

languageability,culturalawareness,thinkingcapacityandlearningabilityshouldbe

developedinstudents.Criticalthinkingisanimportantcomponentofthinkingquality.

Cultivatingstudents’criticalthinkingcanhelpimprovetheirabilitytoanalyzeand

solveproblems.InEnglishreadingteaching,teacherquestioning,asoneofthemost

fundamentalformsofteacher-studentinteraction,helpstodevelopstudents’critical
