VersionUpgradeProcedures

NOTE:

•DoNOTturnoffthepowersupplyduringtheupgradeprocedureuntilaskedtodoso.

•Aftertheversionupgrade,thesystemwillautomaticallyresettothedefaultvalues.Before

upgrading,savingsettingconditionsisrecommended.

•Disconnectallcommunicationnetworks,andifpossible,disconnectallcables.

Preparation:

1.Equipmentrequired:USBmemorystickorHIOKI-testedPCCard

2.DownloadtheversionupgradefilefromtheHIOKIwebsiteontoyourPC’sharddrive

3.UnzipordecompresstheversionupgradeandsaveallofthecontentsintotheUSBmemorystickor

PCCard

Procedure:(useofthePCCardasthestoragemediafortheversionupgradefileisdescribedbelow)

1.InsertthePCcardstoredwiththeversionupgradefileintothe8860/8861’sPCCARDSlot1.

2.PresstheFILEkeyonthe8860/8861todisplaytheFilewindow.

3.UsethecursorkeystomovetoPCCARD#1intheMEDIALISTwindow,thenpressF1toselect

LIST.(IftheMEDIALISTwindowdoesnotappear,presstheESCkeyafewtimes.)Ifthestorage

mediayouhaveusedtosavetheversionupgradefiledoesnotappearontheMEDIALIST,thereisa

possibilitythemediaisnotcompatiblewiththe8860/8861,orthatitisphysicallydamaged.Inthis

case,re-savetheversionupgradefileusinganalternativestoragemediaandtryagain.

4.UnderthePCCARD#1directory,selecttheversionupgradefile(xxxxxxx.PRG)andclickOKor

presstheF1keytoexecutetheprogram.

5.Adialogaskingforconfirmationwillbedisplayed.ClickOKorpresstheF1keytoproceed,or
