•Readthisuser’smanualtomakesureofcorrectoperationbeforestartinginstallation,wiring,operation,maintenance,and

inspectionoftheOpenNetController.

•AllOpenNetControllermodulesaremanufacturedunderIDEC’srigorousqualitycontrolsystem,butusersmustadda

backuporfailsafeprovisiontothecontrolsystemusingtheOpenNetControllerinapplicationswhereheavydamageor

personalinjurymaybecausedincasetheOpenNetControllershouldfail.

•Inthisuser’smanual,safetyprecautionsarecategorizedinorderofimportancetoWarningandCaution:

WarningWarningnoticesareusedtoemphasizethatimproperoperationmaycause

severepersonalinjuryordeath.

•TurnoffthepowertotheOpenNetControllerbeforeinstallation,removal,wiring,maintenance,andinspectionofthe

OpenNetController.Failuretoturnpoweroffmaycauseelectricalshocksorfirehazard.

•Specialexpertiseisrequiredtoinstall,wire,program,andoperatetheOpenNetController.Peoplewithoutsuchexpertise

mustnotusetheOpenNetController.

•EmergencystopandinterlockingcircuitsmustbeconfiguredoutsidetheOpenNetController.Ifsuchacircuitisconfigured

insidetheOpenNetController,failureoftheOpenNetControllermaycausedisorderofthecontrolsystem,damage,or

accidents.

CautionCautionnoticesareusedwhereinattentionmightcausepersonalinjuryor

damagetoequipment.

•InstalltheOpenNetControlleraccordingtoinstructionsdescribedinthisuser’smanual.Improperinstallationwillresultin

falling,failure,ormalfunctionoftheOpenNetController.
