Linking(连读):连读是指同一意群内的相邻两个词首尾音节连续读出来，中间没有停顿。英语中常见的连读情况有：（1）前一词以辅音结尾，后一词以元音开头，如stop︶it,pick︶up；（2）前一词以字母r或re结尾，后一词以元音开头，如after︶all，there︶is；（3）前一词以辅音/d/，/t/，/s/和/z/结尾，后一词以辅音/j/开头，这种连读同时会发生音的同化或变音现象，如would︶you，nicetomeet︶you。PhoneticsBox—Linking
