RedCrossbelievesthateveryonedeservesahomethatissafe,secureandaffordable.Inanaverage

year,RedCrosshelps2,180peopletofindhousing,supports1,360peopleatriskofbecoming

homeless,andprovides43,400mealsforpeopleexperiencinghardship.

Wesupportpeoplewhoareatriskoflosingtheirrentalpropertybynegotiatingwithlandlords(房东)

orfindingmoresuitableaccommodation.Wealsohelpclientstomanagethepotentialissueswhich

contributetotheirhousingproblems,includingincomemanagement,misuseofalcoholorother

drugs.

Webuildlifeskillsbysupportingpeoplewhohavebeenhomelesstodevelopcommunity

connectionandfriendshipthroughone-on-onematchingwithavolunteer,providingeducationand

trainingsupport,andteachingfirst-aidskills.Thesenewconnectionsandskillsmakeabig

difference,helpingpeoplemoveoutofcyclesofhomelessness.
