andsystematicpharmacopoeiainthehistoryoftraditional

李时珍（1518-1593），又名东璧，是中国古代著名的医学家、
药学家和博物学家。他最著名的作品是《本草纲目》，被认为是中
医药史上最全面、系统的药典。

wasalocalgovernmentofficial,andhisfamilywaswell-
educatedandprosperous.Lishowedastronginterestin
medicineandnaturalsciencesfromayoungageandbeganto
studyunderhisuncleLiYanwen,afamousphysicianand
pharmacologist,attheageof16.
李时珍出生于明朝的蕲州（今湖北省蕲春县）。他的父亲是当
地的官员，家庭富裕、受过良好教育。李时珍从小就对医学和自然
科学产生了浓厚的兴趣，16岁时开始拜师学习，师从他的叔叔李延
闻，一位著名的医学家和药学家。
