NormallywewillnotusetheAQLtoassessthequalityoffabric,weusethe4pointsystemtoscorethedefectsonfabricforfabricinspection.

The4pointsystemprovidedameansofdefiningthedefectsaccordingtotheseveritybyassigningdemeritsandpenaltypoints.Allfabricsincludingthegreyandfinished,wovenandknitting,canbegradingbythissystem.Visibledefectswerescoredinproportiontothesizeofthedefects.
