3WhattheEL029ReedSwitchdoes

TheEL029ReedSwitchisoperatedbyamagnet.

WhenthemagnetisplacednexttotheEL029,inthepositionshown,the

ReedSwitchcloses.Itmaybeusedtoindicatepositionor,asan

alternativetoalightgate,togivedataaboutmotion.

4Installation

Thedoorswitchmodulecontainsabuilt-inreedswitchwhichcanbe

activatedusingamagnetattachedtothedoor.Alternatively,ifitisnot

practicaltomountthedoorswitchforoperationwithamagnet,an

externalmicro-switchcanbewiredtothescrewterminalsinsidethedoor

switchmodule.Thedoorswitchmodulecanbeattachedtoawalleither

usingadhesivefoam,orbyremovingthecoverandusingtwoscrewsto

attachtheunittothewall.Thefollowingtemplatecanbeusedtodrillthe

fixingholes.Toattachanexternalmicroswitch:
