Perhapsthebiggestsourceofslangwords,however,istheInternet.Intoday’sworld,thatfactshouldsurprisenoone.Whetherit’sthechangingnatureoftechnologyitselforaquickly-changingtrend(趋势),theInternetprovidesideasfornewslangwordsmorethananythingelsedoes.Italsohelpsthosewordstobeintroducedintoourmindsandchangeourlanguagemorerapidlythaneverbefore.ThankstothepopularityoftheInternetandespeciallysocialmedia,anewslangwordcanappearandbeknownworldwideinamatterofweeks,ifnotdays,ratherthanmonthsoryearsasinthepast.
