TheremainderofthismanualwillfocusonControlPlans(CP).

·ChangestootherreferencesnecessitateupdateshereforCPtoremainrelevant.Suchas,new

terminologyandconceptsconsistentwithIATF16949,AIAGVDAFMEAHandbookandother

Ford,GeneralMotors,andStellantiscoretoolmanuals.

·TheduediligenceforCPisbeingstrengthenedtoavoidpitfallsfromknownriskfactors.

·Incorporationoflessonslearnedfrompastprojectsandproblems.

·ApplicationsofCParechangingtomeetdemandsimposedbyhigherautomationandultimately

autonomousdriving,electrificationandexpandingdefinitionofmobility.

·Additionofcontentdescribingexpectationsfor“SafeLaunch”,enhancedcontrol/containment

eachControlPlanentry,ataskbestlefttoeach
