Thenameofthefontisajokeofsorts.“Sans”means“without”.Whenit’susedforfonts,“sans”usuallydescribesafontwithsimplelines.“Forgetica”soundslikethefamousfont“Helvetica”.Buttakentogether,thename“SansForgetica”means“WithoutForgetting”.

Therearetwomainthingsthatmakethefonthardertoreadandeasiertoremember.Probablythemostobviousoneisthatallofthelettershavegaps(缺口)inthem.Whenthelettershavethesegaps,thebrainhastofillinthegapstorecognizethem.Thismakesreadersslowdownandpayattentiontowhattheyread.
