Humanactivityhaswarmedtheplanetapproximately1.0°Cabovepre-industriallevelscausinganincreaseinthefrequencyofcatastrophiceventsglobally.Thistemperatureshiftisexpectedtomeaningfullyincreasebetween2030and2050.TheParisAgreementsetsagoaloflimitingtemperatureincreasetowell-below2°C,preferably1.5°C,topreventcatastrophicandcascadingchanges.Thisrequireswidespreadcooperationacrossscientists,policymakers,corporations,financialinstitutions,non-profitleaders,investors,andbeyond.AtCongruentVenturesandSiliconValleyBank,werecognizethepivotalroleplayedbyinnovativeprivatecompaniesinfindingsolutionstomitigatethisglobalchallenge.
