Procedure:

1.Introduction(5minutes)。

Beginbydiscussingtheimportanceofaction

descriptionincreatinganengagingstory.Askstudentsto

thinkabouttheirfavoritemoviesorbooksandidentifythe

scenesthatweremostvividbecauseoftheaction

description.

Showstudentssomeexamplesofpowerfulactionverbs

anddescriptiveadjectivesfromvarioussources(e.g.,

literature,filmscripts,sportswriting).Discusshow

thesewordscontributetothereadersunderstandingand

imaginationoftheaction.

2.Modeling(10minutes)。

Readashortpassagefromastorythateffectively

usesactiondescription.Askstudentstoidentifytheverbs

andadjectivesthatmaketheactioncomealive.

Discusshowtheauthorcreatesasenseofurgencyor

excitementthroughtheirchoiceofwords.Pointout
