《歌谣周刊》作者群体与中国现代民俗学的兴起.pdf

摘要

在五四新文化运动的时代背景下，当时知识分子们继承我国古代歌谣搜集的

优良传统，吸收西方前沿学术理论，以北京大学《歌谣周刊》为阵地，形成了一

个以歌谣研究为主的现代作者群体。《歌谣周刊》中朝向民俗研究的学术转向便

是在常惠、周作人、顾颉刚、董作宾等学术领袖的引领下，配合其他参与者的积

极响应而发生的。以这一作者群体的研究动态为线索，分析刊物学术重心趋向民

俗学的过程，利于理解其在中国学术史上所发挥的重要作用。在研究方向上，他

们坚定地将歌谣搜集引入民俗研究的领域；在研究范围上，他们由关注歌谣而及

神话、谚语、传说、民间故事、戏文宝卷等，学术视野逐渐扩展至民众心理、日

常生活、民间信仰等方面；在研究方法上，他们探索出田野调查法、比较研究法、

历史演进法等先进的民俗研究方法；在队伍建设上，他们聚拢有志于此的先进人

才，积极壮大民俗学研究队伍。他们对历来被视作不登大雅之堂的民间文化的关

注与探究，最终孕育了中国现代民俗学的诞生，具有十分重要的思想意义和学术

价值。

Abstract

AgainstthebackgroundoftheMayFourthNewCultureMovement,intellectuals

atthetimeinheritedthefinetraditionofcollectingancientChineseballads,absorbed

cutting-edgeWesternacademictheories,andformedagroupofmodernauthors

focusingonballadresearch,withtheBalladWeeklyofPekingUniversityasafront.

ThescholarlyshifttowardfolklorestudiesinBalladWeeklywasledbyacademic

leaderssuchasChangHui,ZhouZuoren,GuJiegang,andDongZuobin,alongwith

thepositiveresponseofotherparticipants.Takingtheresearchdynamicsofthisgroup

ofauthorsasaclue,analysingtheprocessofthejournalsacademicfocustowards

folklorestudiesisconducivetotheunderstandingoftheimportantroleitplayedin

Chineseacademichistory.Intermsofresearchdirection,theyfirmlyintroducedthe

collectionofballadsintothefieldoffolkloreresearch;intermsofresearchscope,

theyfocusedonballadsandmyths,proverbs,legends,folktales,theatretreasures,etc.,

andgraduallyexpandedtheiracademichorizonstoincludethepsychologyofthe

people,dailylife,folkbeliefs,etc.Intermsofresearchmethodology,theyexplored
