Abstract
Directmethanolfuelcells(DMFC),animportantpowersourceforsmallportable
electronicdevicesinthefuture,haveattractedmoreandmoreattentionfortheirefficientand
cleancharacteristics.However,thehighcostandlowactivityofDMFCanodecatalystshave
beentroublingresearchersandindustry.Theseproblemsnotonlyaffecttheperformanceoffuel
cellsbutalsolimittheirlarge-scaleproductionapplications.Atthesametime,thestabilityand
reliabilityoftheanodecatalystarealsoaffectedbythecharacteristicofeasypoisoning.Inorder
tosolvetheaboveproblems,thisprojectplanstodevelopalow-cost,high-activity,non-
preciousmetalDMFCcatalystandprepareamulti-componenttransition
metal/graphene/polyanilinecompositecatalystbyone-stepelectrochemicalmethod,whichis
expectedtosolvetheproblemsofhighcatalystcostandcomplexpreparationprocess.The
researchconclusionsareasfollows:
(1)Nickel/graphene/polyaniline(Ni/GN/PANI)compositecatalystwaspreparedbyone-
stepelectrochemicalmethod,andtheoptimumpreparationprocesswasobtainedbychanging
thedepositiontime,depositionvoltageandmetalionconcentration.SEMobservedthatthe
metalNiintheNi/GN/PANIcompositecatalystgrowsinthesurfaceandgapofPANIandGN
inacubicstructure,andtheparticlesizeis500nm-1μm.XRDobservedthecrystalpeaksof
Ni,andFTIRresultsconfirmedthesuccessfuldepositionofPANI.Theelectrochemical
performanceofNi/GN/PANIcatalystsformethanoloxidation(MOR)wasstudiedbycyclic
voltammetry(CV),time-currentmethod(I-T)andalternatingcurrentimpedance(EIS).The
