OnbehalfoftheTaskForceonClimate-relatedFinancialDisclosures,itismypleasuretopresentoursixthstatusreport.

Asyouknow,thisisourfinalreportbeforetheInternationalSustainabilityStandardsBoardassumesresponsibilityfor

monitoringcompanies’progressonclimate-relateddisclosureasofnextyear.Itreflectsnotonlyonprogressmadeover

thelastyear,butalsoonexperiencesandinsightsgainedovertheeightyearssincetheTaskForcewasformed.

ThefinalTCFDrecommendationspublishedinJune2017weredesignedtoprovideaframeworkforcompaniesto

disclosecriticalclimate-relatedfinancialinformationtohelpincreaseconsistencyandcomparabilityaroundtheworld.

Sixyearslater,therecommendationshavebecomethefoundationfornationalandinternationalclimate-related

disclosurerequirements—includingastheglobalbaselinesetbytheInternationalSustainabilityStandardsBoard’s

generalsustainability-relatedandclimate-relateddisclosurestandards—andhavedrivenfargreaterconsistencyin

companies’climate-relatedreporting.Inshort,theTaskForce’sworkhasbeenanunequivocalsuccess.

ThesuccessoftheTCFD’srecommendationscanbedemonstratedbythe19jurisdictions,accountingforcloseto60%of

global2022GDP,withfinalorproposedTCFD-aligneddisclosurerequirements.Additionally,theTaskForcehasseenover

4,800organizationsindicatetheirsupportfortheTCFD’srecomme
