Childrensliteratureiscreatedandprovidedspecificallyforchildreninmodernsociety

tomeettheiruniquespiritualandgrowthneeds.Astheimportantcarriersofcultural

exchanges,thetranslationofvaluedchildren’sliteraturehasbeenreceivingmoreattention.

Therefore,itisimportantfortranslatorstoshouldertheresponsibilityoftranslating

meaningfulchildren’sliteratureforchildren’sdevelopment.Thetranslatortakestheexcerpt

translationofTheLastMapmakerasacaseforanalysis,whichwonthe2023NewberyMedal

andAWalterDeanMyersHonor.

ThisreporttakestheexcerpttranslationofTheLastMapmakerasacaseforanalysis,
