Between1958and1970，PeléplayedinfourWorldCups.HeistheonlypersontohaveplayedonthreewinningWorldCupteams.PeléplayedhislastgamewiththeBraziliannationalteamin1971，buthecontinuedtoplayfortheSantosteamforthreemoreyearsbeforecallingitquits.

Throughouthiscareer，Peléhadanamazingabilitytomovepeople.Everybodywantedtoseehimplay.In1969，awarinNigeriawasstoppedfortwodaysbecausetheSantosteamhadbeeninvitedtoplaythereandpeopleonbothsidesweresoeagertoseePeléplay.
