Introduction:TheOceanSensorSystemsWaveGaugeBluehasbeendesignedto

provideahigh-resolutionmeasurementofliquidsurfaceheightatadatarateofupto

32Hz.Usesincludethemeasurementofwaves,wakes,tides,sinkage,lakelevels,pond

levels,tanklevelsandpoollevels.Theinstrumentiscapableofcollectingandstoring

dataformorethanayearonstandardcompactflashcards.Itcancollectdata

continuouslyorinaburstsamplingmode;samplingforshortperiodsandthengoinginto

lowpowersleepmode.Theinstrumentisself-poweredusing12or28AlkalineCcells.

TheWaveGaugeBlueisveryrobustwithsolid-stateelectronicssealedinawaterproof

housing.ThetypeofpressuretransducerusedisanAbsoluteTransducerwiththeoutput

zeroedatoneatmosphericpressure.Thegaugepressureisthetotalpressure,minus
