Corbett,containstheculturalhistoryoftheStateofColorado,theenablinglaws,and

theColoradoConstitution.ComparedtothecurrentAmericanConstitution,themain

bodyofthelegislativemanual,maintainedbasiccontent,structure,andspiritof

humanrights.Thetranslatorhastranslatedandanalyzedthemanual,aimingto

assistscholarsinresearchingconstitutionallawandcomparativelaw.

ThetexttypetheoryproposedbyKatarinaReiss,thefounderofGerman

FunctionalTranslationTheory,dividestexttypesintoinformationtext,expression

text,andinfectedtext.Afteranalyzingthetexttype,genre,andstyleoftheST,the

translatorbelievedthattheSTisaninformativetextwithpracticalgenreandaccuracy,

objectivity,neutrality,andconcisestyle.ToensurethatTTaccuratelyconveysthe

informationoftheoriginaltextwhileconformingtothelinguistichabitsandstyleof

thetargetlanguage,thetranslatoranalyzedthetextlexically,syntactically,and

textuallyandcombinesitwiththetexttypetheorytoensuretheaccuracy,

homogeneity,conciseness,andprofessionalismofthetranslation.

Throughthistranslationpractice,thetranslatorfoundthatdifferenttexttypes

shouldbetargetedwithdifferenttranslationstrategiestoaccuratelyconveythetrue

meaningoftheoriginaltext.Theoriginaltextcontainsmanyproprietarynamesand
