RobertandHenryweretwofriendsinthesameclass.Theyalwaysplayedtogetherandwenthometogether.

Oneday,RobertandHenryweregoinghomefromschool,when,onturningacorner,Robertcriedout,“Afight!Let’sgoandsee!”

“No,”saidHenry.“Let’sgoquietlyhomeandnotmeddlewith(插手)thisquarrel.Wehavenothingtodowithitandmaygetintotrouble.AlsoourparentsareexpectingtohavedinnerwithustogetherathomeandIdon’twantthemtoworryaboutme.”

“You!Acoward(懦夫)!”saidRobert,andoffheran.Henrywentstraighthome.

Intheafternoon,Henrywenttoschoolasusual.ButRoberthadtoldalltheboysthatHenrywasacoward,andtheylaughedathimagreatdeal.
