CreatePerformanceTask

Programmingisacollaborativeandcreativeprocessthatbringsideastolifethrough

thedevelopmentofsoftware.IntheCreateperformancetask,youwilldesign

andimplementaprogramthatmightsolveaproblem,enableinnovation,explore

personalinterests,orexpresscreativity.Yoursubmissionmustincludetheelements

listedintheSubmissionRequirementssectionbelow.

Youareallowedtocollaboratewithyourpartner(s)onthedevelopmentofthe

programonly.ThevideoandPersonalizedProjectReferencethatyousubmitfor

thisperformancetaskmustbecompletedindividually,withoutanycollaboration

withyourpartner(s)oranyoneelse.Youcandevelopthecodesegmentsusedin

yourPersonalizedProjectReferencewithyourpartner(s)oronyourownasyou

workontheperformancetaskduringclass.

Pleasenotethatonceyourteacherhasassignedthisperformancetaskasone

ofyourAPscorecomponents,youareexpectedtocompletethetaskwithout

assistancefromanyoneexceptforyourpartner(s)andthenonlywhendeveloping

theprogramcode.YoumustfollowtheGuidelinesforCompletingtheCreate

PerformanceTasksectionbelow.

GeneralRequirements

Youwillbeprovidedwithaminimumof9hoursofclasstimetocompleteandsubmit

thefollowing:

§Finalprogramcode(createdindependentlyorcollaboratively)

§Avideothatdisplaystherunningofyourprogramanddemonstrates

functionalityyoudeveloped(createdindependently)

§CodeSegmentsforyourPersonalizedProjectReference(createdindependently)

Note:Studentsinnontraditionalclassroomenvironmentsshouldconsultaschool-

basedAPCoordinatorforinstructions.
